Despite the fact that The Bloody Beetroots as a producing duo actually only exist since 2007, these Italian guys have already build up quite some reputation in the world of electronic music. Most of that has to do with the skills of one member and also founding father of the group, Sir Bob Rifo, who studied classical music and later on turned his attention to a new world reconciling samplers and electronic music with his affinity for punk and '80s new wave.
The Bloody Beetroots got known by their massive production of remixes (28 in a single year!) and through their own productions later on. Bob's purpose was to launch The Bloody Beetroots as a truly international sound: "I want to sit at the table with a Chinese person one day, with an African the next day and with a Vietnamese the day after, to absorb their different cultures, to learn and to aspire myself and my music".
Today, nearly 2 years later, he'll probably be able to live that life. The Bloody Beetroots are bigger than big, they are playing all over the world and their tracks are being played all over the world. They are definitely not planning to slow down, as this teaser for 2009 proves:
