Despite the fact that The Bloody Beetroots as a producing duo actually only exist since 2007, these Italian guys have already build up quite some reputation in the world of electronic music. Most of that has to do with the skills of one member and also founding father of the group, Sir Bob Rifo, who studied classical music and later on turned his attention to a new world reconciling samplers and electronic music with his affinity for punk and '80s new wave.

The Bloody Beetroots got known by their massive production of remixes (28 in a single year!) and through their own productions later on. Bob's purpose was to launch The Bloody Beetroots as a truly international sound: "I want to sit at the table with a Chinese person one day, with an African the next day and with a Vietnamese the day after, to absorb their different cultures, to learn and to aspire myself and my music".

Today, nearly 2 years later, he'll probably be able to live that life. The Bloody Beetroots are bigger than big, they are playing all over the world and their tracks are being played all over the world. They are definitely not planning to slow down, as this teaser for 2009 proves:

Tracklist
  1. Tiga - Mind Dimension (TBB remix)
  2. Zoo Brazil Ft. Adam Sky - Circle Jerk (TBB remix)
  3. [[[Zuper Blahq]]] - Here We Go (TBB remix)
  4. The All American Rejects - Gives You Hell (TBB remix)
  5. Sound of Stereo - Heads Up! (TBB remix)
  6. Pink - So What (TBB remix)
  7. Peaches - Billionaire (TBB remix)
  8. SPA - Pets Dance (TBB remix)
  9. Fact - Fog (TBB remix)
Another exciting thing to look out for is "WARP", a new production which is a collaboration between The Bloody Beetroots and Steve Aoki and which is going to be released in March. I don't have a preview, only this recording below in which you can hear the new track being played by The Bloody Beetroots:

The Bloody Beetroots // Cornelius

The Bloody Beetroots are slowly revealing their Cornelius-project. The past few weeks they have been doing very mysterious about it. A new EP is going to be released on the 18th of November, that's for sure, but there seems to be more..
THE FIRST STEP...
THE CLIP, THE STORY, THE NIGHTMARE

"The clip intertwines the real Bloody Beetroots life style with the oniric dimension of the nightmare. A Tale without any redemption, an absolute neorealism under strobe lights, an out-and-out social piece, a vortex without ideology... Practically the era of the rotten apples without any dialogue.

Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo, the satyr, the man without face, the iconoclast, lives his umpteenth reincarnation and he does it trying to escape from a clumsy dream inhabited by vampirized characters (Tommy Tea, Steve Aoki, Mon Colonel, Crookers, LA Riots, etc. etc.). It is a noir back-of-the-scene activity, where the maximum aspiration is the flash of a camera from the social blogs. Editing and photography follow the rhetoric and the fil rouge of "Smack My Bitch Up" from Prodigy, where the dodecaphonic histerya of the international parties shot by Mark "Cobra Snake" is added.

2.55 MINUTES OF PURE UNCONSCIOUSNESS

Cornelius is not only a videoclip but an elaborate products combining within itself: music, literature, arts and fashion. A thorough social piece of work in various acts, with unvarnished aspects of a reality that dwells the nights. Foremost character, only leading dream actor, even though in flesh and bones: Cornelius-Rifo, the alterego of the character of Moorcock."

SOON CORNELIUS WILL BE UNVEILED IN ITS WHOLENESS...
