Young (& Dirty) Disco revelation

You may have never heard of Philip Speiser, but Dirty Disco Youth should ring a bell. This young "Wunderkind" - who was raised in Austria but now lives in Germany - is making one killer remix after the other. His most recent rework is that of Rombo from The Bloody Beetroots, which already was a dirty electro smasher in the original version but became even filthier and more smashing after this man got its hands on it! The same he did with Proxy's Raven, Boys Noize's And Down and Digitalism's Idealistic, just to name some examples.

Philip Speiser is an autodidact who started playing piano, guitar and drums when he was 5 years old. At the age of 13 he went to an electro party for the first time, which was an incentive for him to start producing and djing. Barely two years later he began to make music with his 'Dirty Disco Youth'-alias. His productions found their way through the internet and he started getting airplay on several radio and tv stations. In no time he became a main act on various electro events in Austria and his beats were getting picked up by a lot of big dj's around the world. Autumn 2008 he left his hometown Vienna for the German Hamburg, where he continues making remixes and other productions such as his first big EP, which is called Bleep.
